How to buy

Custom rides must be pre-ordered and are subject to a 50% deposit.

This means you select the gearing, brakes, colour and accessories yourself and once your deposit is paid your new bike will be custom built in Denmark and shipped fully assembled to your doorstep.

Good things take time and with up to a month for manufacture and almost three months shipping this is the case with Christiania Bikes.... The advantage of course is that YOU get the bike YOU want, the way YOU want it...

Oh, and as a "grand opening special" you get a 10% rebate off the price of the entire bike and accessories. So go wild and pimp your ride!!

Terms & Delivery Schedule

Payment terms

Custom rides orders are subject to 50% deposit at the time of order confirmation. The remaining balance less a 10% opening offer rebate is subject to payment prior to delivery. All prices indicated are inclusive of GST.

Local freight is not included in the prices shown and will be charged separately. At the time of order confirmation we will quote you for freight cost to ensure there are no surprises.

Delivery Schedule

It's a long way from Denmark. Manufacture takes up to one month from date of confirmed order. Shipping takes around three months with final assembly and local delivery after that. There are many factors that affect the transport of the trikes, most orders will take around four months to fulfill.

So don't hesitate...order now for later!

1. Is electric assist available?

Yes. We are prototyping an electric assist christiania bike at the moment in collaboration with EVLAB. See the link under favourites.

2. How much can they carry?

Christiania Bikes are rated to carry 100kg in the box. The rider is additional to this. This means a grown man or woman can easily be ferried to and from the pub in these

3. Do you need to wear a helmet given it is a trike and not a bike?

According to Land Transport Rule 2004 "a person must not ride or be carried on a bicycle on a road unless the person is wearing a safety helmet of an approved standard that is securely fastened".

Christiania Bikes are tricycles. The law, as it is written, applies specifically to riders and passengers of bicycles and trailers.

Subclause (6) of the law states however that "a person riding or being carried on a cycle on a road who is stopped by an enforcement officer must, if so requested by that or any other enforcement officer, produce for inspection by the officer the person's safety helmet or proof of an exemption granted under subclause (7)".
